University of Maryland University College's Master of Science (MS) in Information Technology Program is designed for those who are called upon to develop, implement, and operate information systems in a variety of organizations. Graduates of the this program will have a broad technical understanding of current and emerging technologies in the IT field, a familiarity with systems engineering concepts and a solid foundation in the technological basis of the Internet. They will also have a firm grasp of current and future effects of the convergence of computer systems and telecommunications systems technologies.
