Clinical research administration a growing field for health professionals who are interested in overseeing the administration and progress of a clinical trials in various health care facilities usually sponsored by a pharmaceutical company, or biologics or devices companies. A clinical research administrator is a health professional who manages the various aspects of the clinical trial, not only the health aspects but also the administrative aspects. The clinical research administrator supervises the conduct of clinical trials at a clinical site. Individuals who work in the area of clinical research administration come from very diverse areas such as Nursing, Clinical Laboratory, Nutrition, Respiratory Therapy, Rehabilitation Sciences, Physician Assistants, IDC, PMT, Physical Therapy, and Medicine, to name a few.
