The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) - Business of Government degree completion program prepares today's management professional for a broad range of responsibilities involving decision-making, communication, and teamwork. The Business of Government Specialization tailors the traditional business degree and applies the courses you've completed to serve managers working in a public sector environment of outsourcing and inter-agency coordination challenges. The overall degree plan includes three broad areas of study: Core Studies, Foundational Major courses, and Upper Division Major/Specialization courses. Core Studies include a range of courses that prepare students to be leaders in a society that is increasingly global, technical, information-oriented, democratically diverse, and engaged in cross-cultural communication. Core courses include 45 credit hours in Oral and Written Communication, Global Issues, Social and Natural Sciences, Philosophy and Religious Studies. Foundational Major courses include the basic business disciplines such as accounting, marketing and human resources management as an integrated foundation for deeper and more detailed exploration in the Upper Division courses. Upper Division Major/Specialization courses frame a body of knowledge and skills for the discipline in this case, Business Administration and the Business of Government.
