The Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.) serves as preparation for advanced positions of leadership in business, government, philanthropy, and policy and advocacy organizations. D.B.A. learners gain the skills to advance to top leadership positions and to retain them through rigorous reflection on their professional experiences, in-depth exposure to the insights offered by the world?s leading organizations, review of classic and cutting edge theory and research, and mastery of methods and techniques to identify, understand, apply, and communicate strategically critical knowledge. The Management specialization is for the manager-generalist who must understand how the key parts of an organization function and interrelate. Effective enterprise results when the manager-generalist organizes the efforts of specialists in order to accomplish organizational outcomes. Learners gain the conceptual overview of modern theory and practice in each of the key areas of management.
