The Bachelor of Arts degree completion program in Elementary Education trains teachers to work in elementary schools. Graduates meet the requirements for certification to teach kindergarten through fifth grade in Kentucky. Through reciprocal agreements, students may be able to achieve certification in other states. The P-5 & LBD programs are offered 95% online and only require students to attend classes on site for 4 weeks in the summer on the Midway College campus. Free lodging in the dorms is provided. 24 month time period include student teaching with the blended program. This program earned an excellence rating of 3.83 out of 4 for education program quality through the Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB). 124 credit hours are required to complete this program.
