The B.A. degree in Criminal Justice is designed for students interested in a career in law enforcement, homeland security, forensic science or related fields that help your community and nation. This program provides instruction in current criminal justice issues, such as law enforcement operations, courts and correctional institutions, private investigations, as well as victim and juvenile counseling. In addition to learning about theory and practice, students will gain exposure to the latest applied technology and interact with practitioners in criminal justice. Career opportunities include work in police agencies; private investigation agencies; state, federal and county corrections and probations offices; and corporate loss prevention departments. This program also provides a strong foundation for students who are interested in law school. The program is a total of 120 semester hours in duration: 84 credit hours of core courses and 36 credit hours of general education courses.
