The program prepares you for work as a teacher?s assistant with special emphasis on child development and learning, educational psychology, classroom management, instructional methods, and health and safety. If you want to get a degree but are not ready to commit to a specific field of study you can design your own program in Kaplan University?s School of Arts and Sciences. With 30 elective credits in this degree, you can tailor your program to suit your educational and career goals. With the Associate of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies degree, you will be provided with a solid foundation to explore a variety of entry-level positions when you graduate, or you can use it toward your bachelor?s degree when you are ready.
