The Online Master of Science in Nursing program expands upon the foundation of the basic baccalaureate nursing program and offers a Master of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner. This degree prepares nurses to perform in the expanded role caring for families and facilitation adaptation in a variety of settings. The student?s area of study incorporates a blend of theory and research with an emphasis on guided practice in clinical areas. The practicum may be completed in the student?s own community (anywhere in the US). During the practicum, the student?s hands-on experience is monitored by a local preceptor as well as a member of Graceland?s nursing faculty.
