The continued dominance of technology in the global economy has increased the demand for technical writers. Technical writers are key communicators whose projects often include instruction books, user guides, white papers, online documentation and technical graphics, support manuals, corporate communications and industry analyses. Technical writers can be employed successfully as consultants or full-time, integrated contributors to a company structure. This 20-hour program is designed specifically for undergraduates (e.g. in English, Interdisciplinary Studies, or Information Technology), who wish to hone their writing skills and further broaden their career options through their elective credits.
