The Ellis College Interdisciplinary Studies program allows you to custom design a course of study that matches your professional and personal goals. In the social sciences interdisciplinary studies concentration, you will study the principal disciplines (history, philosophy, and political science) that impart an appreciation for intellectual, historical, and political accomplishments of humankind. This concentration helps you assume civic and social responsibility and sets you on the path for careers in public service and policy formation. As part of completing the requirements of this interdisciplinary studies concentration, students may choose courses from the following areas: History (HIST), Philosophy (PHIL), Political Science (PSCI). Courses in this concentration include American History, Contemporary History, Problems of Philosophy, Ethics and Social Philosophy, Technology, Society and Values, Philosophy and the History of Science, and American Government and Politics.
