The English major from Ellis College is designed to prepare you with excellent communication skills that are critical in today's fast-changing professional settings. The Bachelor of Arts in English with a specialization in Professional Writing program is a diverse and structured curriculum offering an opportunity to pursue your own professional interests, and to shape your own education through work in a second field, along with a generous allotment of electives. Students in the Professional Writing area of study select five of the following courses while pursuing their Bachelor Degree online: Workshop in Publication, Writing for Publication, Advanced Technical Writing, Advanced Writing and Editing, Seminar in Professional Writing, Writing for the Web, or Survey of Technical and Professional Document Production. 120 credit hours are required to complete this degree program.
