The communication arts degree is designed to prepare you to become part of the rapidly evolving communications industry. Ellis College's Communication Arts degree online program combines required core courses in the liberal arts and sciences, with courses that promote critical thinking and communications skills, with an eye toward the diverse field of communications media. An Associate degree provides a strong basis for you to continue your communications studies as a primary concentration in the Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Required courses of study include an Introduction to Advertising, Communication: Principles and Process, Broadcast History and Criticism, Writing for the Mass Media, Communication Law, an Introduction to Digital Imaging, History of Motion Pictures, an Introduction to Journalism and Public Relations and Publicity. 68 credit hours are required to complete this degree program.
