The master?s degree program in public safety focuses on skills related to leadership, emergency management, and criminal justice. The curriculum covers leadership, emergency management and preparedness, homeland security and terrorism, and security management. Successful graduates are prepared for careers in a variety of protective and security professions. If you?re looking to advance your career in corrections, criminal justice, or the judicial system, this master?s specialization helps deepen your understanding and broaden your skill set. Courses cover public policy, the corrections and judicial systems, cultural awareness, and contributing factors such as addiction. This specialization is designed for caseworkers, probation and parole officers, juvenile specialists, law enforcement agents, and others who want to play a stronger role in making the criminal justice system more effective. This specialization has transitioned from the Master of Science in Human Services program to the Master of Science in Public Safety program.
