Capella University?s Human Services PhD program meets the high academic standards of doctoral study and provides a platform for rewarding personal accomplishment. Throughout the program, you will explore and utilize advanced theory and research, critical thinking, and principles of leadership. The specialization in Health Care Administration emphasizes critical analysis of theory, research, and practice within the health care field. This program is designed for experienced professionals who seek leadership roles in health care services, public administration, or related fields. Upon completion, you will be well-prepared for research, teaching, and health care management positions. Residency Requirements: As a doctoral learner you will attend residential colloquia in addition to your online courses. Taken during specific milestones in your program, you will attend three colloquia, each one week in length. You may be eligible for transfer of up to 48 credits.
