Capella University?s online PhD specializations in Education will help you strengthen critical thinking, research, and problem solving skills. Our doctoral program is consistently updated to ensure that our learners can meet modern challenges in education with today's best practices. The Leadership for Higher Education specialization prepares learners for senior positions in community colleges and universities. The curriculum will prepare you to be a bold, innovative, and ethical leader. You will develop key problem-solving and research skills that transfer to the leadership challenges you will face in positions such as department chair, academic dean, provost, or president. You may be eligible for transfer credits of up to 48 credits. Residency Requirements: As a doctoral learner you will attend residential colloquia in addition to your online courses. Taken during specific milestones in your program, you will attend three colloquia, each one week in length.
