The BVU Online Master in Education program offers a curriculum designed under the guidelines of the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards. Students have access to a dynamic, instructor-led and student-centered learning, 24/7 access to courses, interactive chats and email with instructors and fellow students, and a small class size (16:1 student-teacher ratio). The M.Ed. with an emphasis in Teaching English as a Second Language is designed to allow you to effectively address the academic and social challenges presented by an increasingly diverse population of students. This program prepares you to teach English as a second language in both public and private K-12 educational settings and gives you knowledge of second language acquisition, assessment procedures, and techniques. 31 credit hours are required to complete this degree.
