American Sentinel University?s Associate of Science in Criminal Justice is designed to help students to develop the skills, knowledge and abilities for an entry level position or to upgrade their present status in branches of law enforcement, federal, state, local, and private agencies. The Criminal Justice Associate?s Degree will provide students with a competitive advantage for acceptance to further training provided by Criminal Justice Agencies. Upon completion of this 60-credit program, students will demonstrate an understanding of fundamental concepts and data regarding society and the criminal justice system, explain the roles and functions of the criminal-justice system and its subordinate agencies in a democratic society. Courses including Criminology, Criminal Investigations, Juvenile Justice, International Criminology, Police and Police Procedures, and The Corrections Process offer students the foundation to enter the Criminal Justice field or further their studies toward a Bachelor?s Degree in Criminal Justice.
